My Core Modalities & How I Use Them
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
I use CBT to help you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. This means:

Catching distorted thought patterns like catastrophizing or black-and-white thinking

Developing coping plans for anxious spirals

Practicing small behavioral changes that rewire your emotional responses
CBT is great for clients who like structure, goal-setting, and real-time problem solving.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-Informed Work)
I use DBT-informed skills to help clients who experience intense emotions, impulsivity, or relational stress. Together we work on:

Distress tolerance: what to do when you’re overwhelmed

Interpersonal effectiveness: communicating clearly and calmly

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
We don’t have to analyze every past decision to make a good one today. With SFBT, I help you:

Create short-term goals that are doable and energizing

Focus on forward motion rather than backward rumination
This is great for high-functioning clients who feel stuck and need momentum.
Person-Centered Therapy
